  • Post Number Seventeen: When I look at the books that have made it to my shelves in the last ten years – books on intention, attraction, being, now-ing – and so many more – I am amazed at what was scribed onto the pages of my journal back in 1994. It is as if Spirit said,  “Here’s the shovel, Remonabent (Acomplia) For Sale. GO DIG. AND WRITE ABOUT IT. We need you to record what digging looks like. • About This Post: I’m attempting to merge the nine months recorded in Bernadette’s Pages with the present here – but still can’t figure out how to format it in a neat and tidy way. Okay. I know a lot of folks who read this blog … but who say they are shy about commenting … especially being the first! I’m breaking the ice. If you all knew each other the way I know you … you wouldn’t be shy at all! And to those who are “new” to this blog … WELCOME! You are not here by accident!

Fear gave me the destination. Imagination gave me the vehicle. Emotion gave me the fuel. That was the way I led my life daily for years! The key as you said, was focusing on intention. Once I was able to really clearly identify that my intention was muddled with fear, things started to shift. Anytime I saw the “wreckage” around me, I could point to fear as the culprit. Now, my life no longer looks like wreckage, but instead, fields of harvest. I started with only ONE intention though: I WANT to be the best person I can be more than anything. I let God do the heavy lifting and I followed the cues. It works if you work it but you gotta work it all the time 🙂

Yep. I find if I am huffing and puffing, I’M doing the heavy lifting … and missing the cues! 🙂

From my perspective, we seem to be trained to set an intention. Usually we do it before thinking of anything else. I often thought of it as, “well let’s attack this issue head on!” It’s sort of a shoot, ready, aim approach. An ego trained response in order to protect our vulnerability I suppose. Opening up was something that takes a great deal of practice for me and often times not in my coding process. For many men the challenge is, often we view fear as an enemy, to be attacked not reasoned with. Imagination often gives way to previous treaded paths that we know should work, usually don’t, but will supplant our egos. And emotion is often perceived as weakness or vulnerability, especially if it involves other men and their interrelations. Of course I don’t speak for all men, just myself. But going through your post should be required reading for all, men and women. We can learn a lot from this.

“Imagination often gives way to previous treaded paths that we know should work, usually don’t, but will supplant our egos. And emotion is often perceived as weakness or vulnerability,” Well put, Joseph. I can identify as a woman who spent too many years expressing out of her “fear self.” (Well, maybe not TOO many but definitely JUST ENOUGH TO GET IT.) The amazing thing? The more I embrace my vulnerability without fear, the stronger I become.

By the way, your present presence is truly a present! 🙂
